The Vortex is the Rascal for people who'd otherwise keep a car for short trips — a 900W high-torque motor, run-flat pneumatic tyres, performance suspension and large wheels with real ground clearance make it dynamic where most scooters are merely adequate. It carries up to 28 stone and travels up to 25 miles on its big 75Ah batteries.
Super-bright LEDs, an extra mirrored running light and twin rear-view mirrors handle visibility, and the waterproof USB port keeps your phone or GPS alive. Exceptional legroom and an adjustable tiller fit most builds. It lives at home; road use at 8 mph just needs a quick DVLA form — we'll sort the details with you.

Will it fit in my car boot?
The Rascal Vortex is a one-piece scooter weighing 146.3 Kg — it doesn't dismantle, so it's built to be driven and stored rather than lifted into a car. If you need something for the boot, call us free and we'll point you at the models that come apart.
Do I need a licence or insurance?
The Rascal Vortex does 8 MPH, which makes it a road-legal Class 3 scooter. There's no licence and no test, but it does need registering with the DVLA — a short free form we'll point you to. Insurance isn't a legal requirement; we recommend it, and your first month is free with every scooter we sell.
Is it assembled when it arrives?
It arrives ready to go apart from clicking the battery in, typically within 4 working days. If you'd rather not do anything at all, our White Glove service fits the batteries and seat, inspects it and takes the packaging away — allow 7–14 days for that, as an engineer visit is booked in with you.
What if it is not right for me?
You have 14 days to try it at home. If it's not right, we'll exchange it or collect it for a refund.
