The Royale 4 is one of the finest road scooters we sell — a sleek black 8 mph machine with big 16" alloy wheels, all-round suspension and a digital dash that shows your speed, battery, distance, clock and even the temperature. The range is exceptional: up to 32 miles, around four hours at full speed.
Safety is genuinely well thought through: automatic braking the moment you release the accelerator, automatic speed reduction when steering, an anti-rollback system for hills, and a lap belt included. The rotating seat slides and reclines with an adjustable headrest, and the armrests flip up for easy side transfers. It carries up to 25 stone, lives at home, charges overnight from a normal socket — and the DVLA registration for road use is a quick form we'll sort with you.

Will it fit in my car boot?
Most of our scooters either come apart into lighter pieces or fold — check the “heaviest part” figure in the specifications above. Tell us your car over the phone and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.
Do I need a licence or insurance?
The Royale 4 does 8 MPH, which makes it a road-legal Class 3 scooter. There's no licence and no test, but it does need registering with the DVLA — a short free form we'll point you to. Insurance isn't a legal requirement; we recommend it, and your first month is free with every scooter we sell.
Is it assembled when it arrives?
It arrives ready to go apart from clicking the battery in, typically within 2 working days. If you'd rather not do anything at all, our White Glove service fits the batteries and seat, inspects it and takes the packaging away — allow 7–14 days for that, as an engineer visit is booked in with you.
What if it is not right for me?
You have 14 days to try it at home. If it's not right, we'll exchange it or collect it for a refund.
