The Maxer is the road scooter for bigger builds and higher kerbs — it carries up to 31 stone, and its large 13" wheels give a full 6.5 inches of ground clearance, so kerbs and rough ground that stop smaller scooters simply aren't a problem. Oil-damped suspension and low-profile pneumatic tyres keep the ride comfortable, and the ergonomic seat in breathable fabric moulds to you.
It travels up to 35 miles on a charge — a genuinely full day — and there's a 12V socket to keep your phone or satnav topped up. It lives at home and charges overnight from a normal plug socket; road use at 8 mph just needs a quick DVLA form — no licence, no test — we'll sort the details with you. Will it fit in my car boot?
The Maxer is a one-piece scooter weighing 138 Kg — it doesn't dismantle, so it's built to be driven and stored rather than lifted into a car. If you need something for the boot, call us free and we'll point you at the models that come apart.
Do I need a licence or insurance?
The Maxer does 8 MPH, which makes it a road-legal Class 3 scooter. There's no licence and no test, but it does need registering with the DVLA — a short free form we'll point you to. Insurance isn't a legal requirement; we recommend it, and your first month is free with every scooter we sell.
Is it assembled when it arrives?
It arrives ready to go apart from clicking the battery in, typically within 2 working days. If you'd rather not do anything at all, our White Glove service fits the batteries and seat, inspects it and takes the packaging away.
What if it is not right for me?
You have 14 days to try it at home. If it's not right, we'll exchange it or collect it for a refund.
