The 24" composite mag rear wheels with plastic handrims let you push yourself indoors and out.

Self-propelled chairs have large rear wheels you push yourself; transit chairs are lighter, with small rear wheels, designed for a companion to push. If you'll do both, self-propelled usually makes sense.
